Paul Kinney Productions Wins Five Telly Awards,
Two for Garamendi
The Sacramento-based political media consulting firm of Paul Kinney Productions has won five of the 28th Annual Telly Awards for outstanding local and regional television, including two silver Tellys.
The national Telly Award competition includes over 13,000 entrants from all fifty states and annually showcases the best work of America’s top advertising agencies and production companies.
Paul Kinney Productions won the top prize, a Silver Telly for “Jabberwocky”, a 30-second television ad for Californians United in the 34th State Senate District Democratic primary satirizing the Jeopardy TV game show and featuring former Dating Game host Jim Lange.
Paul Kinney Productions also won two Bronze Tellys for their work for Lt. Governor John Garamendi on a four-minute video and a 30-second spot entitled “Principles” featuring Garamendi on horseback.
Paul Kinney Productions has various film festival awards and won numerous creative awards in the company’s 26-year history including nine Pollies, three Addys and now twenty-three Tellys.

Paul Kinney Productions Follows Telly Awards
with Five Aurora Awards
The Sacramento-based political media production company of Paul Kinney Productions has followed up the announcement of winning five of the 28th Annual Telly Awards last week with the word that the company has received five Aurora Awards for outstanding creative film production for the year 2006.
The Aurora Awards is an international competition with entries from Russia and Denmark to Hong Kong and Australia.
Paul Kinney Productions won the top prize, a Platinum Best of Show Auroras for each of four individual 30-second commercials, 3 for Mills-Peninsula Women’s Center located in San Mateo, CA and one for “Principles,” a spot that helped elect John Garamendi as Lt. Governor in last November’s General Election.
In addition, Paul Kinney Productions won a Gold Aurora Award for the 30-second commercial “Jabberwocky”, a 30-second television ad for Californians United in the hotly-contested 34th State Senate District Democratic primary election last spring.
After previously winning nine Pollies, three Addys and twenty-three Tellys, the five Auroras, including four Best in Show, were a first for Paul Kinney Productions.
